District Office/Board Room
We will begin negotiating on our new contract. We will sunshine our proposal and present it to the PUSD Board of Education at the May school board meeting. I want to thank all those who took the time to complete the survey. I understand not every member received the survey but it's not too late to voice your concerns or changes you want to see in the contract. Come to the chapter meeting in April. We will be voting on the contract proposal to the District.
I’m sure by now you heard of the LCFF and LCAP. The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is the new school funding calculation in California. The implementation of the LCFF is to give Local Education Agencies (LEAs), such as school districts, county offices of education, and their stakeholders more control over how to spend state funds to effectively deliver education programs. As part of the LCFF, LEAs must develop a Local Control Accountability Plan to set goals in eight priority areas specified by the state. Districts are required to consult with stakeholders, including classified school employees and their unions, to develop their LCAP goals.
We are classified employees who are the educational support professionals and we do care! It’s time fellow members to get involve. Let our voice be heard!
