Spread the word…CSEA help is available!

CSEA offers Emergency Relief Assistance by providing emergency funds for temporary housing, clothing, food, etc. to eligible CSEA members whose primary place of residence is uninhabitable as a result of the disaster. The maximum assistance under the program is $1,000 per applicant.

 Lammersville Chapter 873 Member awarded

Amador & Calaveras County Members honored

 

12 CSEA Members from Amador & Calaveras County were honored at the annual Employee's Making a Difference ceremony for their continued contribution to education.  "Our classified staff has a dramatic and positive impact on the daily lives of our students," said Calaveras Unified School District Superintendent Mark Campbell.

CSEA members gather for Annual Conference

More than 1,600 CSEA member-delegates gathered in Las Vegas for CSEA’s 91st Annual Conference. Representing their local chapters back home, they voted on 18 resolutions, adopted a budget, elected new Association officers and set the course for the year ahead. Delegates elected Ben Valdepeña as Association President, who said he is ready to lead the fight against the threats that we face and continue to build our great union’s strength and power.


CSEA resolution supports safe zones for students

In February, the CSEA Board of Directors passed a resolution entitled “CSEA Supports Public Schools as Safe Zones for all of California’s Students.” The Board of Directors encourages CSEA chapters to print and post it at their school/work sites as a symbol of CSEA’s commitment to keeping students safe.
