With more than 23,000 Classified Employees assigned to the Fresno Field Office - how do you reach everyone?
Based on the Employer, our 23,000+ Classified Employees are divided into 102 Chapters. Each Chapter is then assigned a Labor Relations Representative. Your Labor Relations Representative knows your contract and is committed to providing you with the representation you deserve!

I think I might need representation, who should I call? You'll need to contact your Labor Relations Representative; we're here to help and ready to answer any questions you might have. You'll find your Labor Relations Representative, contact phone number and email listed by Employer here: CSEA Representative Listing

What Chapter do I belong to? You can find the name of your Chapter Number, Chapter Name and President here: Listing by Employer

My Supervisor wants to meet with me, what should I do now? It's important to remember that the District isn't required to inform you of your right to union representation. It's essential that you, along with all of our Classified Employees, Know Your Rights!

Do members and non-members get the same benefits, does membership really matter? Yes, your membership matters! All CSEA Classified Employees receive top notch representation Chapter Members have additional benefits. Most importantly, CSEA Chapter Members have the right to vote on chapter matters (like your contract!) and have their voices heard through the voting process.

Chapter Members also have benefits that they can use off the clock! Chapter Members have access to: the CSEA Emergency Fund; the Scholarship program for themselves and their dependents; receive free Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance; members also get discounts to restaurants, local attractions as well as major theme parks like Universal Studios, Monterey Bay Aquarium and many others! Click here to find out more: Membership Matters!

Can I purchase my Member Benefits tickets at the Field Office? Yes! Fresno is lucky to have one of the Member Benefits Service Centers located in our Field Office. You can purchase tickets in the office from 8:15AM-4:45PM. Tickets can be purchased with a major credit card, money order or a personal check from one of our CSEA members up to $150. If you're getting a money order, it's a good idea to call in ahead of time to confirm the price of the tickets since they are subject to change at any time.

You can find more information about the benefits of membership by calling 1-800-439-6626 or visiting the Member Benefits Service Centers webpage located in the same spot you found us - under Offices!

Our Calendar is scheduled by fiscal year, for us that's June through the following May.

Site Representative Training: Our goal is to have a Site Representative (Site Rep) at every work site, in every District. Our Site Reps serve as a communication link to our members. Site Reps share union news with classified staff at their work site. Site Reps also report any potential issues that may be a cause of concern. If you would like more information about serving as a Site Rep, please contact your Chapter President or Labor Relations Representative. We'd love to hear from you!

We were ambitious when we mapped out our 2016-17 Training Schedule and we hope you're as ready as we are! We hope to see you at one (or more!) upcoming event, opportunities include:

Union Steward Training: Union Stewards protect the rights of our members and help resolve issues in the workplace - often, they're the first line of defense. Our Union Stewards are well trained, prepared and able to represent our members when and where needed. If you're interested in serving as a Union Steward, please contact your Labor Relations Representative or Chapter President for more information.

Know Your Rights Workshops: Can the District change my work-site or assign me to a different classification without my consent? Can the District change my work hours or decrease my hours? My Supervisor wants to meet with me but I'm not sure why; what should I do? I've been accused of something I didn't do - where do I go from here? Find out the answers to these questions, and more, at a Know Your Rights Workshop. If you're interested in attending a Know Your Rights Workshop, please let your Chapter President know and we'll be happy to work with your Chapter and get one scheduled!

Merry Kay Ezell Memorial Golf Tournament: For more than 20 years the Fresno Field Office has hosted the annual tournament in honor of Merry Kay Ezell, a proud union activist and former Area D Director. All funds raised go directly to the CSEA Dorothy Bjork Assistance Fund. The tournament is attended by CSEA members, staff, individuals from the local community and outside corporate sponsors that support our cause. To date, we've been able to donate more than $300,000 to the Dorothy Bjork Assistance Fund to benefit our members in their time of need. If you'd like to join us at the next tournament, mark your calendar for April 29, 2017!

Special Events: Throughout the year we host special events, workshops, training events as needed or requested by our chapter members.

Chapter Activities: Our Chapters also host their own local events, workshops, meetings and social activities. If you want to get more involved with your local chapter, please contact your Chapter President

If you're interested in participating in an upcoming event contact your Labor Relations Representative and/or Chapter President. They can help answer any questions you might have and get you where you need to go!
