Association President Michael Bilbrey
Michael Bilbrey is the California School Employee Association’s 44th president since 1927. Mr. Bilbrey, a Bookstore Operations Coordinator for Citrus Community College, has served as a CSEA leader for more than 20 years at the local and state level.
"It is my distinct honor and privilege to lead this great association," Bilbrey said. "As we move forward with rebuilding California public schools and reclaiming the California Dream, I will continue to work to improve the lives of our 208,000 members, the 6 million students we serve and the 38 million residents of our great state."
Michael Bilbrey also serves as an at-large representative on the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Board of Administration. He is trained in pension oversight and investment, and holds an MBA degree. Members of the CalPERS Board of Administration are responsible for the management and control of CalPERS, including the exclusive control of the administration and investment of the Public Employees' Retirement Fund.
In addition to his role with CSEA and CalPERS, Bilbrey was recently elected as an Executive Vice President of the California Labor Federation.
