Association President Allan Clark
Allan Clark is the Association’s 43rd president since 1927.
Clark has worked as a general maintenance/grounds worker with Riverbank Unified School District, since 1982. He has been a member of the CSEA Board of Directors since 2001, and served in a variety of capacities for Riverbank Unified Chapter 31. Clark is also a certified facilitator for at-risk youth.
As Association President, Clark has worked to grow and improve the union, while continuing to advocate for quality education.
“Our focus must be on protecting jobs, sound education funding, and building the necessary infrastructure to carry us through the most challenging times,” Clark said.
CSEA is the largest classified school employees union in the United States, representing 220,000 public employees in California. CSEA was formed in 1927 by a group of Oakland custodians who saw the need to gain retirement benefits for themselves and other classified employees.
